1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the Great Novels app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms").

If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Description of the App

The App provides access to fictional narrative content across various genres, including romance, fantasy, mystery, supernatural, dystopian, and crime-related themes.

Some content may include emotional intensity, romantic tension, or suggestive language.

The App does not contain pornography, explicit sexual content, or graphic violence.

All content is fictional and intended for entertainment purposes only.

4. User Accounts

To use the App, users must create an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. User-Generated Content

Users may post comments or other content where permitted.

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive right to display and manage such content within the App.

User-submitted comments may be subject to review before publication. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any user-generated content at our sole discretion.

We reserve the right to remove or moderate user-generated content that violates these Terms, applicable laws, or community standards, including abusive or hateful behavior.

6. Virtual Items and Access Features

6.1 Virtual Items

The App may include virtual items such as in-app currency, rewards, or other digital benefits.

Virtual items:

• Have no real-world value
• Are non-transferable
• Do not constitute ownership

6.2 Time-Limited Passes

The App may offer time-limited access passes that provide users with the ability to receive virtual rewards or in-app benefits during a defined period.

Such rewards may be claimed manually in accordance with the App's internal rules.

Any unclaimed virtual rewards accumulated during the pass period may be automatically credited to the user's account upon expiration of the pass.

6.3 Access-Based Features

The App may offer virtual access features that allow users to unlock or access portions of content under specific conditions defined by the App.

Such features:

• Apply to limited content at a time
• Do not grant ownership
• Are subject to availability and internal rules

7. Purchases and Subscriptions

The App may offer one-time purchases and subscriptions.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through the App Store or Google Play settings.

All payments are handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe.

We do not control billing or refunds processed through Apple or Google. For purchases made via Stripe, refund requests may be submitted to info@great-novels.com.

8. Modifications and Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App, content, or features at any time without liability.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated or where required by law.

Users may stop using the App or request account deletion at any time.

10. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Author Content and Licensing

This section applies to authors who submit, publish, or distribute written works ("Author Content") through Great Novels.

14.1 Ownership of Rights

Authors retain full ownership of and all copyright in their Author Content. Great Novels does not claim ownership of any work you publish through the App.

14.2 Licence You Grant Us

By publishing Author Content with us, you grant Bold Equip Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and make your Author Content available to readers within the App and our related services.

You also grant us the right to use your cover, limited excerpts, pen name, and a short biography to promote your work and the App across our marketing channels.

14.3 Non-Exclusive — You May Publish Elsewhere

The licence you grant us is non-exclusive. You remain free to publish, distribute, or license the same work on other platforms or your own channels at any time.

14.4 No Sub-Licensing to Third Parties

We do not sell or sub-license your Author Content to third parties. Rights such as film, television, audio, translation, merchandising, and print remain entirely yours.

14.5 Covers and Descriptions

You create and provide your own covers and book descriptions. Alternatively, at your request, we may assist with creating a cover for your work. Before a title is published, we carry out a brief review to confirm that covers and descriptions meet applicable store guidelines — in particular that artwork is non-explicit and suitable for the Apple App Store and Google Play, and that descriptions are accurate. This review does not transfer any rights to us.

14.6 Removing Your Work

You may ask us to remove your work from the App at any time. A 30-day notice period applies before removal takes effect, so that readers who have purchased access to your chapters have a reasonable opportunity to finish reading before the work is taken down.

14.7 Payment and Revenue Share

Authors receive 50% of the revenue their works generate on Great Novels, paid out on a regular schedule communicated during onboarding.

We do not provide advance payments, signing bonuses, or guaranteed minimums. Author earnings consist solely of a percentage of actual sales of the author's works.

14.8 Author Warranties

You confirm that your Author Content is your original work, that you hold all rights necessary to grant the licence above, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate these Terms or applicable law.
